Boschoek Farm is a 160-hectare subtropical working farm nestled just below the Magoebaskloof escarpment, a short drive from the town of Tzaneen. For nearly a century, our family has cared for this land, growing avocados and macadamias under the warm Lowveld sun.
Our story began in 1926, when Georg Roberg purchased Boschoek Farm after emigrating from Germany. Through challenges, new beginnings, and generations of dedication, the farm has evolved from a timber and citrus operation into the thriving avocado and macadamia farm you see today. While the farm is no longer actively worked by us, we remain devoted custodians, caring for the land and its indigenous areas.
The original farmhouse, built in the early 1930s and later lovingly extended, now welcomes guests to experience a stay surrounded by natural beauty. Designed with a distinctive Mexican motif and set within tranquil, landscaped gardens, the homestead offers an authentic taste of farm life with all the comfort you need to unwind.
During your stay, you’ll not only enjoy the peaceful setting and rich family heritage of Boschoek, but you can also order our own farm-fresh produce, along with local delicacies, from our shop Fresh from the Farm
Come and discover the charm of Boschoek Farm. Stay in our farmhouse, unwind in the gardens, and enjoy a truly peaceful escape.
